Hi Everybody,
Can someone describe what happens at the symposium? Is there lots of discussions? I have the program but that does not really give me a sense of what to expect.
Thanks,
A

Every year there is a mingling type session on Friday. I think it starts around 5pm. dress normal. Then there is the book blitz which is when you get to meet the authors and have them sign things. This is on Saturday afternoon. All this should be in your program book when you check in I think. Some people like to explore the town, that is on your own or with a group of your choosing. If you want to plan an excursion into the city you should post it on here if you are looking for someone to go with you. Since it's St. Louis I would highly recommend going out in a group of people.
There are social events on both Friday and Saturday nights, correct? How formal are they? I'm packing! :)
There will be a reception on Friday. Its mingling and such so come as you are. And there is the book Blitz on Saturday. You will be meeting authors so dress as you see fit.
