Q: Will there be exhibits at the event?
A: No; however, YALSA will have a variety of items for sale, including books published by YALSA, t-shirts & gift items
Q: What opportunities will there be to meet authors?
A: There will be a Book Blitz event on Saturday night with over 40 authors. Authors will also participate in some of the sessions and two are featured at different luncheons.
Q: Can I get continuing education credit for participating in the symposium?
A: YALSA will provide certificates to those who ask indicating how many hours of contact time attendees had at the symposium. See YALSA's Program Officer for Continuing Education on-site to request one.
Q: I am trying to make travel arrangements, what time does the Symposium begin and end?
A: The Symposium technically starts with a reception on Friday evening (programming begins Saturday morning) and will end at 1pm on Sunday. However, there are optional preconferences that you can register for that take place on Friday.
Q: Will all of the Symposium events take place at the Hyatt Regency Downtown on the Lake, Austin, TX?
A: Yes. All events will take place in the hotel.
Q: I can't attend the symposium in 2014. Will there be one in 2015?
A. Yes! Mark your calendar for Nov. 5 - 7, 2015. The event will be held in Portland, OR.
