Infographics and Teens' Reading Habits?

The infographic seen in this article on successful e-books and their readership is so colorful, slick and visually gorgeous, that we almost forgot that there is some very interesting information being presented.  The article's author, Andrea Smith, does a great job of pointing out (which was created by a company called HipType) that e-books are mostly read by women, in cities and and will be completely read and finished by a reader ... as long as it's under 400 pages!

Teen readership of e--books have definitely been a force, as Harper Collins reported %25 of their Young Adult sales in January of 2011 were e-books, according to this fun New York Times article.

Here are a few other cool infographics relating to our symposium:

Which got us thinking about teen reading habits in general: what are the habits teen readership(including e-book)? In fact, that is EXACTLY the question our upcoming symposium hopes to address!  For the time being, check out this great article on Teen Reading Trends in an interview with YALSA's current president, Sarah Flowers!

Lastly, check this Infographic out that details the anatomy of a librarian!:
